Collecting rare skins and cosmetics in Fortnite is a hobby that many players have. Some accounts have sold thousands of dollars for containing these rare skins.

Skins are constantly rotating in item stores, which means they're not nearly as rare. Skull Trooper or Ghoul Trooper skins are some of the rarest skins in the game. However, Epic Games re-released it in item stores, which angered some fans with bragging rights.

Thankfully, this is not the case with emotes, and some emotes haven't appeared in stores for over a thousand days. Naturally, those who had this emote in their inventory were very lucky.

Some of the rarest emote in Fortnite

Pony Up, Floss, The Worm, and Wave are by far the rarest emotes in Fortnite. They never appeared in the item shop, and only a handful of people played the game at the time because it wasn't as popular as it was.

The battle pass emotes aside, these are the five rarest emotes in Fortnite that have ever appeared in the item shop:

5) Kiss the Cup

The Kiss the Cup emote last appeared in the Fortnite item store over 815 days ago. This means only players who played the game in July 2019 have this emote.

This unusual emote is available for 200 V-bucks in 2019 and is a major celebration for players after getting the Victory Royale.

4) Widow's Pirouette

More than just a dance move or a taunt, the Widow's Pirouette is a martial arts move and perhaps the most amazing emote on this list. This Marvel emote comes with the Black Widow skin and costs only 200 V-bucks.

Players last saw the Pirouette Widows emote in the Fortnite item store about 900 days ago. Since then, the emote has never been released in separate stores, and only those around when Black Widow was released have the rare item.

3) Tidy

Inspired by Snoop Dogg's legendary move in his song "Drop it like it's hot", Tidy was one of the most popular emotes upon its release. However, due to legal or other reasons, Epic Games has not released rare emotes in item stores since December 2018.

The Tidy emote last appeared in the Fortnite item store about 1,050 days ago. Even though it cost only 500 V-bucks in Chapter 1 Season 3, only a handful of players bought it.

2) Fresh

Fresh is one of the oldest emotes in Fortnite Battle Royale, and players last saw it in the item shop about 1,070 days ago. This emote is inspired by another popular dance from pop culture.

Those old is enough to see the American sitcom Fresh Prince of Bel-Air will quickly recognize that the Fresh emote is a Carlton dance move. The actor even took Epic Games to copy his stride for emotes, which is one reason why emotes aren't being brought back to item stores.

1) Rambunctious

Rambunctious last appeared in the item shop about 1,075 days ago, making it the rarest emote in Fortnite. It's also an emote inspired by the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, but this time it was Will Smith who spawned the movement.
