So, it's possible that Kratos also initiated the Ragnarok event by killing Baldur. Interestingly, it is confirmed that Kratos might also fight Thor in God Of War 5.

God Of War Ragnarok: Will Kratos Die on the upcoming sequel?

Some theories suggest that Thor will kill Kratos in God of War Ragnarok. However, it's doubtful that Kratos will die in God Of War 5. Kratos is the main protagonist of the God of War series, and the studio won't just kill him in the sequel.
