Hitman 3 and World of Assassination trilogy launches on January 20, and upon launch, Google Stadia players will be able to share access to various in-game points thanks to Stadia's State Share feature.

With State Share in Hitman, you will be able to share a link alongside an image or video from your game. Then other people can click on it to try out a scenario that you played out on your own. There are mission "states" that you can share to customize your experience, including the mission's starting location, objectives, Agent 47 loadout, and difficulty level.

This feature works with any campaign or custom mission, and you'll even be able to use weapons or items you haven't unlocked if the game's state precedes your own development, Stadia product manager Catherine Hsiao said in a blog post.

This feature opens up a lot of interesting possibilities for Hitman games. Players can send custom scenarios to one another, for example, or live-streamers can challenge their viewers to try out a particularly difficult mission or a certain style of killing they just broadcast live. This is a feature unique to Stadia, although the game also launches on consoles and PCs.

State Share isn't the only boundary-pushing technology present in Hitman 3 and the World of Assassination trilogy. On PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, you can also play through each of the three Hitman games in virtual reality.
