RakitAplikasi.com/en - I think at one point in your life, you have to find a Torrent concept that allows you to download movies, software or all for free. Using torrents in kilobytes, you can transfer large amounts of data at lightning speed.

Now to download big data from a small Torrent metadata file, we need a BitTorrent client application that works on the BitTorrent file transfer protocol. You can download files with the facility to stop and continue at any time.

In this article, I will guide you on how to download free and open-source torrent distributions of Linux through BitTorrent. So, let's get to the first step:

  1. Install BitTorrent Client

First, we need to have BitTorrent Client to download Linux distros. Most Linux distros come with pre-installed BitTorrent Client applications like Transmission in Ubuntu.

However, you can also install other available BitTorrent Clients for Linux such as qBittorrent, Deluge, and Fragments. If you’re using Windows, there are also several Torrent Clients for Windows.

In this article, I’ll use Fragments which is a GTK3-based very simple, and easy-to-use BitTorrent client. You can install it using Flatpak by running the command:

    flatpak install flathub de.haeckerfelix.Fragments

  2. Download Torrent File

Next, you need to download the Torrent file of Linux distribution you want to have. Well, here, the best way I would say is to go to the official Linux distros site and download its Torrent. If it seems like a tedious task for some people, there are also other ways to download torrent files.

As usual, there are tons of Torrent sites from where you can search and get the Linux distros Torrents. But if you want a site especially for Linux distros, you can check out this site. It has a torrent of almost every Linux distros and the best part is that site is regularly updated after every new ISO release.

To ease your work to some extent, here I’ve listed some of the major Linux distros torrents. Click to download the latest version.
    1. Ubuntu 20.04
    2. Kali Linux 2020.2 (64-bit)
    3. Linux Lite 5.0
    4. Arch Linux 2020.07.01
    5. Linux Mint 20 CinnamonXfceMATE

  3. Add Torrent File

Once you download the file, you can open your BitTorrent client, add the file, and start downloading. Or, if you click on the downloaded torrent file or magnetic link from the site, it will open directly into the default Torrent app and start downloading.

As you can see here, in the torrent client app, you also get an option to pause the download and resume whenever you want.
