To open Piraka Playground beat the very first zone. Also the Piraka Playground is located to the right of the shop but you have to buy the playground equipemnt in the shop.

Hints

Upgrades

The more you upgrade your character's special abilities in the beginning of the game, the easier it will be to archive hero mode. This comes in handy for boss fights.
