Nvidia recently held its GeForce RTX 30 Series GPU launch event (that is, RTX 3090, the RTX 3080, and the RTX 3070). At the virtual event, Nvidia also announced real-time ray tracing support and AI-powered Nvidia DLSS for games like Fortnite, Cyberpunk 2077, and COD Black Ops ‘Cold War.’

Fortnite Ray Tracing

Epic Games has teamed up with Nvidia to bring RTX technology to Fortnite which will further boost the popularity of the game.

This means we will soon get to see real-time ray-traced shadows, ray-traced reflections, ray-traced global illumination, ambient occlusion, and support for the second-generation of Nvidia’s deep learning super sampling (DLSS) technology in the game.

The AI-powered by RTX Tensor Cores in DLSS will help in boosting frame rates and generating sharper images. This technology uses deep learning neural networks to maximize quality and output resolution.

Fortnite will be one of the first games to support NVIDIA Reflex — which measures and reduces system latency. With an improved latency, gamers will get a better performance overall, with better responsiveness and precision in the game.

Cyberpunk 2077

CD Projekt RED’s Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most awaited games in 2020. Today, during the launch hosted by Nvidia, a new trailer of Cyberpunk 2077 was released as well

The trailer is a brief one and it showcases scenes from Night City improvised by Ray Tracing.

Cyberpunk 2077 will be launched on November 19, 2020, and will arrive first on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Call Of Duty: Black Ops ‘Cold War’

We also have a brand-new Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War trailer showing off the game with ray tracing technology.

Once again, the trailer was kept short, lasting for about a minute or so, but the visuals are stunning. We can see several characters getting ready for a mission assigned by President Reagan, people punching bags, and loading weapons.

With Nvidia’s ray tracing technology turned on, the Black Ops Cold War trailer looks amazing. One can easily see the difference via the deep shadows, reflections, impressive particle effects, and realistic lighting that bounces off surfaces.
