What is Snapchat Streak?

The Snapchat Streak starts when you and your friends send each other a live photo and have continued to do so for more than three constant days. After that, a fire symbol () appears to the person’s name, along with the number of days the streaks occurred.

Snapchat provides users with custom emojis to cross a certain threshold, for example, the mountain emoji or a hundred number emoji.

Snapchat Streak Rules

The Snapstreak count continues when you and your friends send photos to each other within 24 hours. And by Snaps, what we mean is to take a picture/video and send it to the person.

Keep in mind that the things mentioned below do not count as Snaps for Snapstreak:

• Chat or send stickers.
• Image/video chosen from memory or Camera Roll.
• Content sent via Spectacles.
• Snaps to the group.

While you may see different emojis as you continue your Snapstreak for months, what’s important to note is the hourglass emoji () next to the person’s name. It means your Snapchat Streak will expire soon. If it happened, send a snap or ask the person to send you a snap.

How To Recover Lost Snapchat Streak?

You can start the Snapchat Streak recovery process by following the steps mentioned below:

• Go to the Snapchat Support Page.
• Click Contact Us.
• Select “My Snapstreaks have disappeared” under the How can we help section.
• Fill out the Snapstreak form.
• Click the “Send” button.

In the form, try to be as accurate as possible, from typing in the correct username to filling in the amount number of Snapstreak counts. It’s okay to enter an approximate value if you can’t remember, but it shouldn’t be too far from the original number.

Under the “What information should we know” question, you can explain the reasons behind the losing streak. Of course, you can make something like the internet connection fails, or the app doesn’t work. The goal here is to make Snapchat believe that this is the real case.

You should not take this as a regular thing and use it only in extreme cases. Snapchat will likely decline more than two requests. Also, Snapchat will probably recover your lost Snapchat with a single person, unless you have a legitimate case, so go for the longest.

How To Keep Snapstreak Going?

Keep sending snaps! That may sound like the worst piece of advice, but it’s what users often forget in an attempt to send the “perfect” image.

Often, Snapchat users wait for the right moment, the right dress, and the right makeup, but forget about sending a snap when the event occurs, which ultimately loses the Snapchat Streak. The trick is to keep sending the snaps, even if you have to click the ceiling fan.
