Hints

Easy Way To Complete Metro Speedway

First instead of flaming the pigeons go to the left and flame all the slow signs then you go flame the pigeons and then go around all the towers flaming the jumpers then the arches then bam you've beat the level and get a lot of gems.

Parachute Manouver

If Spyro is gliding (X then X in the air) or coming out a whirlwind hold down on the D-Pad or Analog Stick. Spyro's wings should move differently and you should be floating down to the ground slowly. This is great in landing in tough areas and should work best in Active camera mode.

Swim Faster And More Agile

When you are in Flat Mode, when you go to swim, you'll be faster and a bit more agile.

Grand Tour

When in Aquaria Towers go to the highest part where the sea horse tells you to rescue his children the go to the wall where you cannot go any further. Then push against the wall while moving forward also hit down while moving and pushing against the wall or this will not work. If you continue to move then you will start getting closer to the edge and then after about 1 minute you will eventually go off the edge then you will see every place in Aquaria Towers. If you move down too far you will drown. Go toward a place in Aqaria Towers that you want to go to. And waa laa your there.

Dragon Shores

To get to Dragon Shores you need to beat Ripto and have 55 orbs.

Big Head Advantage

The advatage is that when you put in the big head mode code you will be able to shoot your flame farther than usual. It's not one of the best advantage but it was a big help getting crush defeated & getting some skill points.

Extra Life

When in a portal, destroy 11 butterfly bearing creatures such as a sheep, catipillar, clam, or starfish. (This also works out of a portal.)

How To Swim

To swim, you jump into the water and press square then to swim you press the x to charge under the water press the square.

Never Return To Glimmer!!!

When you are in glimmer, and this only works if you have the Super Fireball, go to wehre you light up the lamps inside. you can flame them from the ground. get them all and you will be taken to the top of the ladder! now you do not have to come back when you get Climb!!

Infinite Superflame

Complete the game and get 100/100. Then go to dragon shores and look around then the rest will happen naturally.

Get Across The Bridge For FREE!

To get across the bridge in Glimmer 4 free so u don't gotta pay Moneybags aka Mr. Greedy get all abilities by pausing the games, press circle 4 times and then press square to get all abilities and climb the ladder. Get all 10 monsters and fly across the Superfly powerup and then fly across the bridge!

Ocean Speedway

To get this level in about 1:20, do it in this order: rings, cars, boats, arches.

Play As Bentley In The Cloud Temple

Do Canyon speedway in order. Start with the rams (getting one biker during the process), then fly through the rings, get the other 7 bikers, and save the vultures for last. I was able to finish it in 65930 milliseconds (beating it in less than 70000 is important... do you know why?). Beat it in less than 60000, get the orb, exit, then swim to the waterfall, pause the game, press left, left, square, circle, up, up, circle, triangle, find the pool of water where an orb is near the canyon speedway, glide onto the canyon speedway portal, headbash twice, pause the game, press circle 8 times then press square 3 times, press x, go to the whirlwind, find Ripto's Arena, save the game, glide into the Summer Forest portal, glide into Crush's Dungeon, charge into crush, exit, go back to winter tundra and look for cloud temple. You will see a bentley sign. The circles and squares are reversed in the Gateway to Glimmer version. I know it's a real code. Just try it.

Other Part To Aquaria Towers

After you fill the first room to the top with water, there is a whole in the roof out lined with yellow and green on the inside. Go through it. You are in the second part of it.

Activating Power-ups

First go to the power-up and it will tell how many enemies you need to defeat in numbers. Then go and defeat that amount of enemies. Next, go back to find the power-up active. If it doesn't work, its because you didn't defeat enough enemies.

Glide Farther

If you charge-jump instead of walk-jump of a ledge, you will go farther. It sounds lame but it sometimes helps.

Winter Tundra Orbs

Use the whirlwind in the courtyard to rise high in the air. From here, go right and find the a waterfall going into a pool of water. Dive in the water and follow the path to the last Orb. You should come out near Canyon Speedway. Use the whirlwind again to go to the left side of the courtyard. Land on the wall. The Orb is just sitting there and is easy to find. After you learn how to headbash, look for the largest rock near the entrance to the courtyard. Headbash the rock and to find the Orb inside.

Autumn Plains Orbs

Before the stairs leading to the Boss are some cracks in the wall which you can ram through. Use the whirlwind, and then the next one, to reach the high tower. From here, look ahead and you will see a tall platform in the distance, outside and to the left of the outer wall of the main yard. Glide to it and get the Orb. From the tall platform (above), glide the outer wall and make your way to the left. At the end you should see another cracked wall. The Orb is inside.

Summer Forest Orbs

Find Hunter near the large pond and he will reveal a series of jumps to perform. Dive down a pool of water to your left where you started the level. Climb the stairs at the end to find the Orb. Once you have learned to climb, go to the large orange circle room. Climb the ladder to find the Orb. There is a door then some stairs in the room where Moneybags lowers a wall. At the top should be a window and a closed door to the right. Glide out the window and move to the left into another window to find the Orb.

Speedway Orbs

To earn the Orb in each of the four speedways you must first find the hidden task to perform. The game cannot be completed 100% without the Orbs.

Ocean Speedway There is a large group of spectators, ahead and to the left as you begin the level. Fly to them and talk to the fish-like lady to acquire the task. Complete the task to receive an Orb. Metro Speedway Fly toward the large group of buildings. There is a waterfall in the center of them. Fly behind the waterfall to find a person that will reveal the task for the Orb. Icy Speedway Fly around the main island until you locate a igloo. Headbash the igloo and Hunter will give you the task for another Orb. If you have not learned the Headbash maneuver from World 3 (since this Speedway is on World 2), you can simply land and run into the igloo. The Speedway's automatically supercharges you when on the ground, giving you the power to break it. Canyon Speedway Follow the path of goats until reaching the area with the circling vultures. Fly high above to the canyon rim and look for Hunter in a little nook.

Jump on the four corners in any order. Then, swim out to the idol in the center of the pond. Blow fire at the fish as they leap out of the water. Only blow at the blue and orange fish. The red ones will deduct fish. At the last puzzle, jump on the blocks in this order: blue triangle, gray triangle, yellow star, orange octagon, and green star.

Permanent Super Fireball

You get to go to "Dragon Shores" after defeating Ripto. All 10,000 gems and 64 orbs are required to enter the door at that location. A permanent Super Fireball power-up is inside. After picking up the permanent Super Fireball power-up, finish "Dragon Shores" and exit the game. Restart the game and it should allow you to keep the Fire Ball ability from the very beginning.

Orb In Winter Tundra

Go into the courtyard, and there is a whirl wind, go into it, and instead of letting it take you to the castle turn right, and land on the wall near the water fall, jump down, and dive under. swim, you should end up eventually at the end of another waterfall, and an orb is waiting for you! (waterfall is attached to the stream, that is near the "canyon speedway")

Glitches

Double Jump Glitch

To get to areas that you could normally never reach, or skip parts, try this. Stand still, and jump. While holding jump, press charge while still going up without moving (about 1/2 to 2/3 second after the first jump). Spyro will jump again in mid-air and get to areas out of reach by any method. You can skip the first part of some tasks and do the second part first and the first part second!
