Voice Clips

To listen to Voice clips you haven't gotten or can't get (like noel saying 'Antidote'), press X on a clip you already have a move it over to the empty spot. if you've timed it right, the clip will play.

Treasure Box In Fun City

Just pickpocket the Old Man by the Cooking Master that wants to eat something (he thinks its a resturaunt).

Easy Money And EXP

First of all get the the 'Art' command (around 8) and (optional) the Orchestra super specialty. While the Ochestra is playing use Art and excute Magic canvas OR Magic clay. Keep doing this until you get a few 'Extension Cards" and "Fol-Up Cards". Then next time you get in a boss battle use 'em and your characters should go up 2-4 levels (i made rena do 5 once) and you should get LOTSA MULA (if its the right boss you can get over 100 000)!!!!!!!!!!!

Another Eternal Sphere Bonus

You all know the eternal sphere sends stars out when its hits a enemy (if not look below). Also it sends out stars when claude puts it up to block the enemy's attack!

Two Levels For The Price Of One

You must have two items in your inventory for this to work: "Forged Medals" and the "Dream Bracelet." (I suggest reproducing medals until you have many). Equip the Dream Bracelet on the character you wish to level. Now use a Forged Medal on that character. De-equip the Dream Bracelet. After the next battle, you will gain two levels, at the cost of only one Forged Medal.

The Ultimate Item

When you have Master Chef level 8 or higher, use vegetables with egg/dairy products and if the combo of ingredients is correct, you will recieve a "Fruit Nectar" which restores 100% HP and MP, or which sells for 109,000 FOL!

The Ring Of Happiness

When you are told to go to the town of Cross for the first time,stop in Alen's house on your way through. Talk to him twice. The second time he should give you the "Ring of Happiness".

Secret Items In Eluria Colony

When you are in the Eluria colony enter the weapons shop. Go to the right wall face it and press X. Repeat until you check the whole area you will find lots of good items like the silver robe.

Rip Off Santa

Here is a simple cheat that will help you purchase those majorly overpriced Santa Boots (10,000,000 Fol) from Santa, the wandering merchant on the 6th floor of the Cave of Trials. First off, you have to meet him. Santa will appear randomly on Level 6, usually by the statues of the thieves so if he isn't there the first time, try leaving the dungeon and comming back. When you finally meet up with him, he will sell Sage's Stones for 50,000 Fol a piece and buy them back for 65,000 Fol. Buy 20 Sage's Stones and sell them right back to him for a 15,000 Fol profit!! Now, if you have the super specialty command Identify All, you can make a 45,000 Fol profit by buying low and selling high! I just wonder if I'll get that Eternal Sphere I wanted for Christmas?

Priest's Password

In the demon's den there is a glass priest who asks you for the special word necessary to get the cardkey. The password is APOCA.

Instant Romance Points

First, create one of each of the character's special books (ex. Claude's Ocean of Stars) with the publishing skill. Go to the publisher's booth in Lacour (virtual Expel is easier) and sell him one of each book. Exit Lacour and come back a while later. You can now buy as many books as you want. Use these books on characters to raise the romance points that affect endings. WARNING! This can backfire if you use to many, and you'll end up with all single endings.

How To Get The Sword Of Marvel

When you learn the pickpocketing skill go to Mars village and preform the act on the old man by the inn. It will give you an item called treasure chest. Go out and save your game. The treasure box will give you three items at once (to see if you got the Marvel Sword rearrange them in the newest order). If you do not see the Marvel Sword the simply reload you game and try again. This weapon will kill most enemys in one hit.

How To Get The Eternal Sphere

To get this amazing weapon you must first place second in the Lacour Tournament of Arms.(Dias kicks your butt so you can't get 1st) Once it's all over you must go see Gamgee, the one who's house is all the way to the left side of Lacour, and talk to him. You'll get the Sharp Edge sword. (NOTE: you have to place 2nd or you don't get the Sharp Edge.) Now play through the game until you have the customize specialty and the orchestra super specialty ability. (The O.S.S.A it's required but it helps out a lot.) Then in the field of intelligence you will fight guys carrying big shields. The ones that can't be hurt when attacked from the front. Anyway, once you defeat them you will get mithril. You must get two mithrils to get the Eternal Sphere. Once you do this you play the orchestra (or not), and customize the Sharp Edge and the mithril to get the Minus Sword. Then customize the Minus Sword with another piece of mithril to get (dramatic pause) the Eternal Sphere! One bonus of this is that when you equip it on Claude. Stars spray out causing extra hits when you fight enemies and it's attack power is a whooping 1600 making it easy to kill the enemies early in the second disk.

Hidden Dungeon Tips

The Hidden dungeon is tough and interesting at the same time. There a various enemies here that have a word in front of their name that are very tough...however, there are weapons [normally useless] that have that same word that will kill the enemy with one hit. Example:Lvl.99 Funny Thief...pretty tough, Lvl.99 Funny Thief when someone has the Funny Slayer...one hit kill. On the sixth level, there will be a man who occasionally appears in the statue room. He sells very rare stuff, including all the rare metals, the real tri-emblem [not the fake "emplem"], and items that can teleport you out of the dungeon....for you see, there are no save points, so if you are on level 13 of the dungeon and die, your screwed, so you must leave to save on occasion, and when you re-enter there will be methods of going down quickly, such as a trap door. The dungeon also contains very powerful equipment, including [but not limited to] The Levantine Sword, Ashton's ultimate attack, Leon's ultimate attack, Celine's ultimate attack, the angel armband,several pair of bunny shoes, and the valiant armor. As far as monsters go, from around level 3 onward, you may run into boss class monsters as normal fights...you can even run into the last boss of the dungeon as a normal enemy, so be careful.

Hidden Dungeon

Save in front of the last boss, and leave the final dungeon. Proceed to fun city and talk to the old man in the back area of the colusseum. Say yes to all his questions, and you'll be transported back to expel, in Arlia. You'll notice two important things that are different: 1.There is a penguin walking around where you appear, talk to him and call him silly, he'll kick you back to Nede. 2. When you leave, there will be a Synard waiting for you. Hop on it and head to the area you couldn't access without it, the dungeon should be glowing with a red dot. Land and enter. The special dungeon is very tough, much harder than the regular last Dungeon...in fact, you'll start out fighting harder enemies than you saw in the normal last dungeon on the very first floor.

Getting Opera And Ernest

First of all after you get Celine on your team but before the destruction of Clik do a PA in cross and walk up towards the castle you will see a three eyed man. Countinue through the game but do not go get Dias. After the tournament go to Herlie and gointo the bar. You will meet Opera and she tells you she is looking for her boyfriend and she leaves. Go back to Cross and ask the King about Opera and he will give you permitioion to go into the mountain palace if you go through it Opera will join your team and you will realize Ernest is not there. Go back to Arlia do a PA and talk to Opera. Leave town then bring everyone to the Shingo forest and see Operas ship. Countinue through the game and as you leave the Hoffman Ruins Opera will spot Ernest go after her. Kill the ghost possesing Ernest then either let both Ernest and Opera join or they both leave.

Get The Windsley Sword

To get one of the best weapons for Claude in the game, you must beat the Fun City Duel Tournament Class "A". Note that this is extremely hard. You should be around level 75 or so. The first time you win you'll get Windsley Sword, with attack power 1400.

Get The Battle Suit

On the last part of Eluria Tower on the first disk, Claude gets teleported to his father's spaceship. While on board, pickpocket one of the operators to get "Battle Suit", which has 500 defense!

Get Items While You Walk

First of all, you need to make sure that at least one of your characters has the Dexterity talent. Without it, this is useless. Then learn the pickpocketing skill. Buy the Bandit's glove and get your pickpocketing skill up to at least 8(it works better with 9 or 10). On the first disk in Lacour, there is a little girl on the first screen that if you pickpocket you will get an item called Mischief. Equip, then run around for a while. You will acquire random items every few steps. There is another item that this will work with. On the second disk, in the town called Central City, there is a boy running around. Pickpocket him and you will get an item called Trickster. This works the same way, only you get cooler items.

Favorite Foods

In Star Ocean everyone has a favorite food. If found, eating this food totally   replenishes the MP and HP of the character. In some cases, it can be a lot   cheaper than the fruit nectar. Easy Way 2 Level 250

Once you are in the cave of trials, And defeated the Level 6 boss and recived the funny sword. Leave, save and go back to floor 6. Make sure you have a few of the forged medals. But really all you have to do is stay in the dungeon looking for the stone theives. They are worth over 30000 exp each and usually attack in 4s. I made Cluade Rena and Ashton Lv. 250 in a little over 2 hours work.

Easy Skill Level Gain

For an easy way to level up skills, you need to level up the perserverance skill to level 10. After you do this, leveling up the other skills will be much easier. For example making it where you can level up most skills with just one Skill Point.

Easy Money With Sages Stones

A very easy way to make money is to get the alchemy skill. Once you get it to about level 9 or 10 and you have a Lezard Flask, you can make sages stones which sell for 60000! Irons only cost 200 so you make a good profit. I had about 40000 fol and bought 20 Irons. Out of that 20, some were turned into Sage Stones and I now have 580000!

Easy Money With Ashton

You will have to be on the second CD with Ashton in your party for this to work. Ashton will need to have "customize" at a fairly high level and the Orchestra super skill will help a lot. Go to Central City and buy 20 Scythers. Make 20 Damascus (using alchemy, it'll go a lot faster if you do this while orchestra is playing.)Then have Ashton customize the scyther with the damascus (orchestra), it will make his most powerfull weapon, but you don't need 20 of em, sell them for about 1.5 million a piece.

Easy Money

When you get your Super Specialty Skill "Master Chef" up to level 6 or higher, go to a store that sells fruits, vegetables, and egg/dairy products. But 20 of each, then go to Super Specialty Skills and choose "Master Chef" in the item screen, then pick 1 fruit and 1 dairy. Every other try or so (depending on your skill level) you should create "Coconut Milk" which sells for overy 1000 Fol a piece!! You can also take 2 vegetables and make "Fried Vegetables" which sells for over 2000 Fol a piece! Keep creating the food until you run out of ingredients then go sell everything you created, buy more ingredients and do it again until you have the desired amount of money you want.

Easy Level Up

Use Reverse Side to make a forged medal, and then duplicate it as many times as you want to with Reproduction. The forged medals bring a character to 1 point under a level up.

Discovering Talents

When you learn the super specialty skill "Orchestra", and have enough songs and instruments for each character, use this skill and for a short time, you will be able to create items without the necessary talents. (For Example: cooking without the talent "Sense Of Smell".) While the song is playing, you will have the chance to learn a new talent by using your specialty skills. (For Example: While the orchestra song is playing, use the cooking "Machinery" skill to learn the talents Dexterity and Sense of Design.)

Cheaper Bandits Gloves

To save money when buying the Bandit's Glove go to Salva Mine and get the Cinderella Glass. Then make your way over to Herlie. Use the Glass in the shop where you can buy the Bandits Glove and then the gloves will only be 30,000 FOL instead of 41,800 FOL!

Character Locations & How To Have Them Join

Claude/Rena - Which ever one of them you choose the other joins automatically.    Celine - She will be in the middle of the town of Cross and will be fighting over   a map she will then ask you to join her on a treasure hunt.    Opera - If you get her you can not get Ashton. First you must do a private action   in the town of Cross and go towards the castle and you will see a 3-eyed man.   Later you will meet her after the tournament and you will meet her in Hilton in   the tavern. Follow her back to cross and ask to see the king again. Choose the   option 3-eyed woman and you will gain access to the Mountain Palace. When you   meet her you can have her join.    Ashton - If you recruited Opera you cannot have Ashton join your party. After   saving the kids at Mars go to Hilton and talk to two people talking about 2   headed dragons in the Salva Mines. Then go to the Salva Mines and you will meet   up with Ashton. (He is in the area where you could not go the first time through   the cave)    Bowman - If you get him you cannot get Precis or vice versa. He will send you to   the Linga Sanctuary to get a herb (At the very back of the cave) then he brings   you to talk to Keith and then joins.    Dias - You must be Rena to have him join. You will meet him at the Front Line   after the tournament. Precis - To get her you must first talk to her in Linga then   leave Linga and re-enter using a private action.    Ernest - Must have Opera in the group and must do a private action before   entering Arlia. Must go to the Shingo Forest after finding Opera's ships   whereabouts. After defeating the ruins Opera shoots a fake Ernest and then you   will fight him and decide if you want him to join.    Leon - Must be Claude to have him join. After he loses his parents he asks you to   join.    Noel - Joins you in the search for a synard and joins afterwards.    Chisato - She follows you around and if you go down the steps on the screen   where you first see the synard she will fun by and trip and drop her ID which you   must bring to the news place at Central City and she can join from there.   

Become Extremely Powerful In A Relatively Short Time

There are several methods to become very powerful that are available quite early   in the game, here are a few.     In the beginning of the game, there is a mountain dungeon that isn't meant to be   faced until much later, thusly the enemies will raise your characters' levels VERY   quickly. At first they'll kick your butt, but with every victory you eke out, you'll   become stronger [kitchen knife skill makes things easier here, btw] you can build   your characters to 3000 hp levels here with some work.     Make sure you learn pickpocket [poker face and courage skills] and save up   40,000 bucks. Make your way over to Clik harbor and purchase a thief's glove.   Now you can go on a world stealing tour, and get many things. Very notably, there   is a man in Mars who carries a treasure box, which when used will dispense three   random items. Once you get it, save your game and open it until you get what you   want. Though it usually gives you items and such, it occasionally gives you VERY   powerful weapons including the Force Sword, the Sorceress Knuckle, and the very   rare and powerful Marvel Sword.    Later in the game, in the colusseum, the A-class battle earns you right around   100,000 exp, and allows you to quickly build levels until about level 105 [note:   Level 90 is adequate to beat the limited version last boss] On one of the snowy   islands near Giveaway, there is a shop that sells magical rasp, which allows you   to create the most powerful weapons and armor in the game.   

Extra Difficulty Levels

Complete over 45% of the voice collection. Then a phrase will appear on the button in the right corner of the screen. Press this button to restart the game. Now new difficulty levels, including "Universal" will be selectable. Monsters will have double the HP and attack power under the "Universal" level.
