Microsoft started rolling out the November update for the Xbox Series X, Series S, and Xbox One consoles today. The software update is the first dashboard update for Microsoft’s next-gen console and includes more dynamic backgrounds exclusive for Xbox Series.
The update adds six new dynamic background designs, including those clearly seen on the old Xbox console. Each of these can be selected from the Xbox dashboard settings panel, and Microsoft says it is working on additional styles, colors, and designs for future console updates.

Along with an updated dynamic background, the Xbox Series X/S gets a new tag that lets you know when a game is using auto HDR. You’ll see the tag appear when you open the Xbox manual during the game, and it looks similar to how Quick Resume appears in the top right corner.
Microsoft hasn’t mentioned whether and performance or stability improvements added with the November update, nor whether Quick Resume has seen developments. Quick Resume hasn’t worked properly with many titles since the launch of the Xbox Series X/S, and Microsoft is blaming a bug it says is being fixed.
