Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6: Where to find and investigate the downed black helicopter

Update 16.50 in Fortnite Season 6 features the introduction of "Foreshadowing Quests," which requires players to investigate a black helicopter that crashed.

As well as featuring a 24,000 XP reward for investigating helicopters, this special quest in Fortnite Season 6 also provides potential clues for the upcoming season.

NPC Farmer Steel asked players to investigate the black helicopter that crashed in Fortnite Season 6. However, the NPC also added, “I knew IO when I saw it,” when referring to the helicopter.

This could be a massive Easter egg for a potential return of the IO Guards in Season 7. Aside from IO, there's also speculation of an alien invasion.

The black helicopter that crashed could also refer to the IO ship being destroyed by foreign troops. However, until Epic Games announces the course of Fortnite Season 7, all of this remains mere speculation.

Players simply choose to land on a location on the map and investigate the helicopter to earn 24,000 XP for their progression to the Battle Pass. Doing so will also allow players to complete Foreshadowing Quests in Fortnite Season 6.
