Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 teaser shows Kevin the Cube, the Vampire, and more

Monsters have been an integral part of Fortnite for quite some time now. In years gone by, they would usually appear en masse only during Fortnitemares. But all that will soon change.

Following the latest video uploaded by Universal Pictures, more monsters will soon appear on the island of Chapter 3. With only a handful of information to go on, much remains speculative. However, some solid conclusions can be drawn.

Universal Monsters are coming to Fortnite

As seen in the tweet, the monster from Universal made a rift and is now present on the island. This includes the new Mummy, Werewolf, Vampire, and even the superfan Frankenstein monster.

Before creating the portal, monsters are resurrected using the Cube's power. Although it is unknown how they were able to use the Cube's powers, hypotheses can be drawn as to how the Cube got there.

It seemed that in their reality (Monster Reality), they were able to resist the Kymera invasion. One of the Cubes from the invasion was left as a remnant and lay dormant on the island.

The new monsters on the island can be featured as Battle Pass skins or as part of a long-term collaboration with Universal. In addition to cosmetics, it is also possible that they will also play a role in the storyline of Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2.

With more than three weeks remaining before the season ends, things can change in the game.

Is Fortnite hinting at the return of Kevin the Cube and Cube Queen?

While it can't be said for certain whether the Cube in Monster Reality is Kevin, it's pretty clear that the monsters know about the Cube Queen. After creating the portal, the monster leader declared:

"A portal to a new beginning...with more monsters like us."

This statement shows that the monsters from a different reality are aware of other people just like them on Flipside. Given that they could harness the Cube's power, it was evident that they were being led into the current reality. Does this mean the Cube Queen will return soon?

Well, if he were to return, it wouldn't be in the current season as there are no hints or leaks referring to the same. However, during the following season, it was possible that the island would start witnessing a monster invasion.
