Fortnite leak reveals major map changes starting January 7, 2022

Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1 is almost halfway to completion and a new leak has surfaced that suggests a major map change may be coming to the game soon. Fortnite always launches interactive maps and all maps recreate the seasons in real-time. The Fortnite Chapter 3 map is covered in snow due to its early winter launch, but a new leak shows what the new map will look like after the snow melts in an upcoming update.

Popular Fortnite leaker HYPEX has revealed its first look at the snowless Chapter 3 map in Fortnite. As the snow melts, many new POIs are expected to emerge. HYPEX has also provided a release date for the snowless map for Season 1. According to the leak, the snow will melt from the Chapter 3 Season 1 map on January 7, 2022.

Return of old POI and comeback of IO in Chapter 3 Fortnite

HYPEX has also leaked that Imagined Order will be making a comeback on the island. Fortnite Island is currently under Seven's control and IO plans to come back and attempt to take over. There have been leaks revealing top-notch IO Exercises emerging from the ground in preparation for several future events.

Fortnite players will soon be able to see this IO Practice as the snow begins to melt off the map. The purpose of the exercise has not been revealed, with Dr. Slone being most likely the mastermind behind this covert operation. Season 1 of the new chapter of Fortnite seems to be all about the power conflict between Seven and IO.

As previously revealed, Fortnite players will be seeing the return of their favorite POIs from Chapter 1. Leaning Tower is expected to be one of them and previous leaks have confirmed that future NPC quests even have Leaning Towers mentioned in their missions.

January 7, 2022, will see the Fortnite Chapter 3 map begin to change and players will be able to explore a lot of new content once the update is done.
