Fortnite Season 7: Everything we know about the Alien Mothership so far

The alien Mothership in Fortnite Season 7 has a lot of roles left to play from its appearance. While most are based on early leaks and a spoonful of speculation, ruling them out completely would be foolish. Given the fact that some of the leaks are from HYPEX, the chances are it's just speculation.

While players were only able to see Mothership in action during the Fortnite Season 7 trailer, that might soon change from its appearance. With so many possible events yet to come, it's time to talk about all that is known about Mothership so far.

What the Mothership is up to in Fortnite Season 7

Destroyed the Spire

While Raz may be annoyed, it goes without saying that destroying the Spire is part of the storyline. It was done to free the foundation, which caused IO to return to the island.

Not much is known about what happened at Point Zero, but it can be assumed that it still exists, somewhere. Back in Aftermath, aka the giant crater in the center of the map, Epic Games definitely has plans for that.

These plans are ambiguous at the moment, but given how history repeats itself in Fortnite, Point Zero will most likely return to the center at the end of Fortnite Season 7.

Mothership may cause the map to change

After the destruction of Spire, the Mothership carried him away from the island to a safe distance. However, it's back from the looks of it, and soon its shadow will cover the entire island for the duration of Fortnite Season 7.

One user suggested that when the carrier's shadow covered the island, parts of it would start to freeze due to the lack of sunlight and heat. While the hypothesis is good in theory, logically it may not work out so well. All things said and done, the idea is pretty cool.

Mothership may destroy Coral Castle

According to HYPEX, when Mothership returns, it's possible to destroy Coral Castle just like Spire did. While there is evidence to support that Coral Castle will be replaced with a new POI, there is no verification as to whether Mothership will be held responsible for the action.

From the looks of it, if Mothership can destroy Spire and create a huge crater, then destroying Coral Castle isn't really going to be a huge feat to accomplish during Fortnite Season 7.

New UFOs will be launched from the Mothership

According to HYPEX, while the alien invasion has begun, its full power is yet to be seen. Leaks suggest that the new Fortnite UFO will launch from Mothership and will start attacking the island soon. It's also unclear exactly what role this new UFO will play in Fortnite Season 7.

While no timeline has been given regarding the same, based on the accuracy of the HYPEX leak, it will happen sooner or later. The only question that remains, why? What exactly were the foreign invaders planning?

Possible event or new alien POI

What's the point of Mothership if it doesn't kidnap players, right? Well, according to the leak, a new type of UFO will kidnap and transport players to the Mothership. While nothing is set in stone, the new POI itself may be presented with a large foreign ship.

It's too early to say which, and predict upcoming events. For now, all players can do is look up into the sky and see an ominous alien mother ship hovering over the island: wait, watch and plan.
