Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8: When does the Armored Wall come?

A new trap has been leaked and will be added to the Fortnite arsenal in the next week or two. Hypex released via Twitter that a wall trap labeled Armored Wall will drop in the upcoming Fortnite patch in Season 8.

The trap has passed through Fortnite many times and has seen fluctuating popularity. Depending on the game's meta, traps are sometimes the best thing to find or something players find completely unhelpful.

Fortnite will see a new trap that allows fortified buildings

While nearly all of Fortnite's previous traps were for damage or mobility, Armored Walls will give players the ability to turn any part of a building into a reinforced metal barrier. Armored Walls will have 2,500 HP, more than enough to hold magazines from any weapon.

Fortnite players will be able to carry stacks of 20 of these Armored Walls, and it will take a second and a half before they are ready to deploy. Armored Walls can be built on almost any structure, including cones, floors, walls, and even enemy structures.

They will be found in stacks of five, according to Hypex, so players will be able to strengthen multiple structures after only finding one group of Armored Walls. Additionally, players can discover new Fortnite traps on the ground and/or in loot drops. If this were true, they wouldn't be in any chests.

Armored Walls will change the dynamics of Fortnite massively by providing players with a truly sustainable protection. With 2,500 HP, players can use the entire medkit before the enemy spends enough rounds to overthrow the structure.

Instead of having to build for precious life, players can lay some of these Armored Walls and feel true security. They would force enemy players to advance into melee and find another way in as they wouldn't be able to break through the Armored Wall without expending large amounts of ammo.

Be aware of these traps throughout the Fortnite map, as they can save lives and provide some game-changing mechanics.
