Why do some Fortnite players get up to 500 V-bucks for free

A glitch at the end of Epic Games forced the developers to give out up to 500 V-bucks to players for free. Unfortunately, as always, there is a catch.

As part of the ongoing Fortnitemares 2021 event, Epic has released the Graveyard Drift Quest Pack for $15.99. Players can complete certain quests after purchasing the Graveyard Drift pack and earn up to 2,000 V-bucks for free. Unfortunately, for some reason, this quest only rewards players with 1,500 V-bucks.

Fortnite glitch gives players 500 V-bucks for free

Since players were promised 2,000 V-bucks for free, they were naturally annoyed when Epic Games reduced it to 500 V-bucks. Fortunately, Epic eventually realized his mistake and promised to refund the players' money.

Players can find an official tweet on the Fortnite Status account, which states that 500 V-bucks will be credited to their account if they have completed all quests.

For those who haven't completed the challenge, the visual error may display the wrong number of V-bucks. However, players will be awarded the correct amount after completing all challenges.

On the one hand, players are sure to get up to 500 V-bucks for free in Fortnite. However, the prerequisite for getting this gift is that players must purchase the Graveyard Drift Quest Pack.

For the uninitiated, the Graveyard Drift Quest Pack is available in Fortnite for $15.99. Players can purchase packs to unlock Driftwalker skins and clothing styles. In addition, players will also get a Corrupted Tendrils glider, Broken Fractal Wings back bling, and a Corrupted Rift Edges pickaxe.
