The "Out West" emote, which features audio of Travis Scott's song "Out West," has been removed from the Fortnite Item Shop. The entire section of the Fortnite Item Store that houses dance emotes has disappeared. The "Daily" section of the Item Shop has disappeared without explanation.

The emote appeared to be on sale to coincide with the Scott Astroworld music festival, which ended prematurely when eight people died after being crushed in what witnesses said was an overcrowded and unsafe place. Following the incident, Scott was criticized for allegedly continuing the concert because people were crushed and for not having adequate safety protocols. Last year, the rapper held a virtual Fortnite concert, and several Travis Scott-themed items were made and sold to celebrate the event. It appears that the "Out West" emote is the only Travis Scott item affected, and it is unknown if Epic Games will disable other Travis Scott emotes or skins or whether they will return to stores in the future.
