Warm summer weather in 2021 is just around the corner, which means Fortnite's developers are bringing surfboards and other fun in-game items to players so they can bask in the sun with Peely.

For Fortnite players to access the new in-game surfboards, they must enter Creative mode instead of the usual Battle Royale mode.

From here, players can enter their toolbox and find Surfboard Spawner, which allows the looper to place the surfboard wherever they want. Once the surfboards are positioned and appearing, players can approach them and climb up using the action buttons of their controllers.

After Fortnite players successfully mount their surfboards, the water will push them forward or back. Players can use ocean motion to enjoy summer fun, although they have additional boost options, such as riding a boat in Battle Royale Fortnite.

Apart from surfboards, the developer has also added a boat, fishing pole, and fishing zone to Fortnite Creative mode. The official FNCreative Twitter account also announced a few hours ago that a Creative contest has started for players who want to share summer fun with everyone.

The Summer Creator Callout contest encourages players to embrace all the tropical and seasonal items added to the game's Creative mode. Loopers that create attractive and fun maps for players to follow will be featured in the currently undisclosed Fortnite Summer event.

On their official page about the Summer Creator Callout contest and all the new seasonal items that can be found in-game, Epic Games encourages players to think outside the box by creating boat races or fishing competitions.

Loopers wishing to be featured in the Summer Fortnite event that will be announced soon as a result of entering the Summer Creator Callout contest must fill out a Creative Content Submission form and submit it by June 11, 2021.
